Brian and Karen Tarling came to us to help them modernise their family home in two phases. Phase one saw us creating a new kitchen space that was a true cooks kitchen that allowed for dining with the whole family. The space needed bringing up to date with modern technology, whilst the design was traditional quality. Phase two, a project born out of their delight with phase one, saw us re designing the upstairs of the house complete with new bathrooms, family rooms and bedrooms. The Tarlings loved their home and they trusted increation to help them with their desire to stay put and keep enjoying family life.

The family kitchen was created out of solid oak and it was hand painted in a period style. With the young generation coming up through the house it was essential to mix this with up to date technology. Karen wanted a real cooks kitchen as well as a family kitchen, so we created a cooking island with its own prep sink and a breakfast bar for the kids to sit at. This allowed each person their own dedicated area for their needs. And the lovely Karen did all her own upholstering so the interior design had a cozy homemade feel throughout their home
