Kate and Shon came to us with their exciting plans to convert their Victorian old Mill. Ex Cheetah handler, Kate, was determined to create her dream home from within the Old Street flat. Emphasizing her own personality, she was looking to create in each of her rooms unusually different spaces that were to leave her with a sense of feeling both comfortable and wowed. Entertaining lay at the heart of this project… There was a clear brief for an open cooking space, allowing for bottle opening and nibbling to happen comfortably and a cozy guest bedroom and second bathroom were to be created in addition, allowing guests private rest when the entertaining had been a success!

To meet the practical entertaining requirement for our budding chef Kate we elevated the central working space in the kitchen for emphasis, which resulted in the showpiece Kate longed for. Crafting her a stunning island as the feature of the space, which allowed for cocktails to be enjoyed at one end while cooking happened at the other. And the carefully planned curved wall in the bathroom, with floor to ceiling tiles, creates a feeling of complete indulgence for those long soaks in the bath

We fully managed all aspects of Kates refurbishment including a wide variety of contractors, decoration, building works, heating systems and all home technology.
