'Add Value To Your Bathroom - Part 2'
1st October 2009 (All day)
_

The master bathroom is an important part of your home and, when viewing a new house, it often plays a big part in the buying decision. One of the quickest ways you can add value to your home is to enhance the master bathroom and use bathroom interior designers to give you a new look. They are best equipped to help you create space and build in storage features so that contemporary bathrooms are not only a thing of beauty but also offer practical features that will enhance your day-to-day life. Step 4 – Heating If you’ve been debating a ceramic floor but think it will be far too cold on your bare feet in the morning think about radiant floor heating. This allows you to have a tiled floor but it keeps the floor and the rest of the luxury bathrooms wonderfully warm. If under floor heating isn’t your thing, then to avoid icy feet add rugs to the floor in areas you know will be most needed. Step 5 – Creating a relaxing hideaway One of the simplest ways to create a relaxing ambience is to add a comfy chair. It creates a calming feel and is also a great design feature. It gives you somewhere to sit and relax after a warming, luxurious bath in your luxury bathrooms. By adding soft neutral tones to the wall you can create a calming effect. To brighten up a natural décor add colourful accents in accessories such as curtains, towels and vases which will lift the bathroom but not take away from the peaceful design. At Increation we have years of experience creating luxury bathrooms and implementing designs.

'Why Have Bespoke Kitchens? '

Whether you want a traditional, solid-wood, rustic affair or something more contemporary in style, bespoke kitchens offer many advantages.

Commission a bespoke kitchen and there are unlimited options for arranging the crisp lines of the design just as you want them. But bright laminates, wood veneers, solid hardwoods, mellow aluminium and extra-wide pan drawers are all hallmarks of the modern tailor-made kitchen.

Genuine designers of bespoke kitchens will create a unique room. A good way to check whether you are getting something truly bespoke - rather than an existing range which tailored to your home - is to ask for something that's not already in the brochure. If this can't be done, they don't provide genuinely bespoke kitchens.

With contemporary kitchens, any problems of awkward corners, curved walls and unusual window positions can be removed thanks to the help of a good bespoke designer.

Of course, with bespoke designer kitchens, it can take a bit longer to complete the work, but you're paying for quality craftsmanship and the job shouldn't be rushed. With high quality design and furniture, bespoke kitchens really come into their own.

At Increation, we specialise in designer kitchens. We have a real passion for what we do, and members of our highly skilled team will be with you every step of the way, from initial consultation through to installation and after-service care. We have every confidence in the quality of our materials and craftsmanship – and so should you! Learn more from our website.

'Designer Bathrooms: Things to Bear in Mind Before you Start '

Your bathroom can be one of the hardest rooms to refurbish, both because of a lack of space and the restrictions of utility supply inlets and waste outlets. Only with imagination and an up-to-date knowledge of modern design choices can you work around these limitations.

With bespoke bathrooms, the consultant will discuss the individual customer’s needs with them at length. Often, this initial consultation will be free, and computerised plans of the designs are run off before work begins.

New designer bathrooms mean more than just picking out a fresh colour. They allow you, for example, to change the room’s layout to create more storage space or a separate shower.

Given the expense of replumbing and rewiring, try and stick with the service points you already have if you can, although you may need new ones if you are completely repositioning your bathroom suite.

In terms of order of deciding where things should go, think about the bath and/or shower first, then the loo and finally where the washbasin should go. Then you can decide on how to make the best use of the remaining space.

At Increation, we specialise in bathroom designs for bespoke bathrooms. We can help you create the relaxing, indulgent sanctuary you need. We can work off your designs, or give you some inspiration of our own. And we also offer a fantastic choice of traditional and contemporary bathrooms. See our website for more information today.

'Comprehensive Planning Is At The Root Of A Successful Home Refurbishment'
21st September 2009

If you're seriously considering a complete home refurbishment and a major renovation you must make sure that your planning is comprehensive and complete. Whilst there are always those "little things" that will crop up during a significant project such as this, comprehensive upfront planning will help you to ensure that you don't come up against any nasty, foreseeable issues that could throw you off the rails. Because there may be a fairly sizable investment involved here as well, being aware of any potential repercussions and issues in advance could help save you some valuable money.

It's time to categorise and prioritise. With any extensive job such as this there will be a list of different stages and you need to know which order you will use. If a renovation is going to be extensive you can expect a certain amount of disruption if you're going to continue living there whilst it's going on. You have to be able to plan your living requirements around the disruption that will take place, as well. And whilst you might well have your eye on a new bathroom and kitchen as your primary goals for restoration, you shouldn’t overlook anything else that may need doing in and around the house, as when you’re going through the planning, upheaval and disruption you really ought to cross all of these elements off the list for good measure.

It is important to thoroughly inspect your home at the beginning, often with the help of an expert who would be able to tell you what needs to be done. You should certainly make a list of everything, even if you don't commit to each and every element this time. Never underestimate the importance of this planning stage and you should ask all your friends and family what they think, to get as much input as possible. Sometimes we have a rather grandiose idea for a particular renovation which isn’t necessarily feasible and/or practical for one reason or another. Now is the time to find that out.

Never make any assumptions and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if you’re just not sure about a recommendation provided to you by a contractor. Independent inspection may not only be just required by a local authority for permitting purposes, but it might also represent a very good idea to make sure that things are proceeding nicely and “on track.”

Keep in mind that it's never easy to completely vacate the home for a major restoration project, even though that would probably be an ideal scenario. Many of us need to live and operate out of the house whilst the project is going on and it's important to establish boundaries and strategies with the contractors ahead of time. This way you can keep the disruption to a minimum.

Even though it can be quite a challenge to prepare, plan, live through and even supervise a major undertaking such as this, it's well worthwhile when you’re finally able to stand back and admire the finished product. At last, your home looks the way that you truly want it to!
